Over the years longevity has increased drastically from a 50yr life span to 75 yrs as an average globally. This clearly highlights the effect of extrinsic factors such as nutrition , physical activity and medical advances (antibiotics, therapeutic care, etc) on longevity in humans. However , There are important intrinsic factors that contribute to long life as well, therefore this paper seeks to answer : Has genetic research provided any advances to increase human longevity? In this paper I have summarized the internal and external causes of longevity, laying emphasis on gene impact, meta-analyses of centenarian phenotype, clinical trials, and animal models tests to the development of longevity drugs for healthy aging in humans. I also briefly talk about the current advancements that may help scientists succeed in this field in the near future. The Key areas of focus in this paper are the role of telomeres, DNA Methylation, Mutations (suppression or prominence of genes or alleles),aging diseases and also the demography and heredity from centenarians.I have also talked about the advances in longevity pharmacology.

The composition of rainwater has been changing continuously over the past few years , this is primarily due to rapid industrialisation and rising levels and population overload As the pollution has been constantly increasing, the quantity of harmful gasses (air pollutants) produced have also been increasing, resulting in climate change. This is causing the rainwater to turn more acidic which is harmful not only for humans but also plants and microorganisms. Furthermore, buildings and monuments are also affected by acid rain. To get a deeper understanding of the quality of rainwater , I conducted an experiment - testing pH of rainwater from different geographical areas and observing plant growth under similar growing conditions but watering them with waters of varying pH. Therefore this paper intends to give a good interpretation of the quality of rainwater in different regions, and the causes and effects of acid rain.

This study conducts a systematic review and computational analysis of over 15 research papers to explore the impact of exhaustive endurance running on genetic and metabolic pathways. Focusing on variations in WBC counts, CK serum metabolites, cortisol levels, and gene expression among ultramarathon and marathon runners, the research identifies stress-induced genetic alterations affecting metabolic and oxidative pathways. The findings highlight temporary and permanent genetic changes, underscoring the need for further research into the complex relationship between running and genetic regulation. This work serves as a foundational reference for future investigations in sports physiology, offering valuable insights for the public, coaches, and healthcare professionals.
